There was no stopping "The Power" as Phil taylor thrashed James Wade while Raymond van Barneveld continued his revival against Gary Anderson.

Taylor looking unbeatable on current form

After his stunning display in Holland over the weekend, Phil Taylor continued his return to his imperious best with a 8-1 thrashing of James Wade.

The way that Taylor is beginning to canter to successes once again is a bad sign for the rest of the PDC and the only indication is that he will only get better.

Despite missing more darts at a double than he his used to, he still averaged in excess of 105 and that was more than enough to beat Wade.

Wade probably didn't deserve the 8-1 reverse but there were several legs he was ahead in by a wide margin that he failed to close out.

The positive's were there that we was able to string a few scores together to put himself in positions but there was always a sense of resignation to defeat whatever he did on the Brighton stage and until he begins to believe in himself again, then "The Machine" will continue to be broken.

"Barney" continues revival

After barnstorming his way to victories in the opening four weeks, Gary Anderson appears to have got himself into a rut that is threatening to derail his earlier hard work.

He still lies in the top four, despite an 8-5 loss to Raymond van Barneveld, but that spark that electrified the league is slowly diminishing.

He still showed glimpses of his undoubted talent but his setup shots deserted him at times and that made all the difference.

It would be harsh to take anything from "Barney" though. He has completed a full transformation to the man who flattered to deceive in the Premier League 12 months ago.

The "Barney" of 2011 cuts a contrasting figure, and one that looks odds-on for a playoff place even at this early stage, after opening a four-leg cushion on the players outside the top four.

'The Bull' fight's back for a draw

After six weeks of not witnessing a draw, it finally happened in the second match of week seven as Terry Jenkins produced a stirring comeback from 6-3 down to draw 7-7 with Adrian Lewis.

The game was nip and tuck before the break but neither player could edge ahead until Lewis strung four legs together to move two away from victory.

This is where Jenkins came into his own. He is known for his grittiness and he ground out the next three to level up at 6-6.

Both players held throw to earn a point, but it was Jenkins who can take confidence from this.

He is now on seven points after seven games, and on average, a point per fixture usually puts yourself in contention for the playoffs, so "The Bull" has plenty to build on in his remaining matches.

Webster cast under Wizard's spell

Simon Whitlock certainly displayed the form he has been hinting at in the opening match of the evening against Mark Webster.

The end of result of 8-2 in the Australian's favour was fully deserved as he powered his darts into the doubles and trebles like the "Wizard of Oz" of old.

It was difficult to pick a fault in a performance that completely dominated his struggling Welsh opponent.

Webster has blown hot and cold in the first half of this campaign and it was no different in Brighton as he found no consistency on his usual hotspot of treble 19.

He also showed signs of throwing in the towel with a couple of legs remaining, and that sort of petulance is not going to lift him off from the bottom couple places of the league.
